The Boomers lost a second successive Olympic warm-up game to Spain in Malaga.
Australia went down 81-75 to the number two-ranked men's Olympic basketball team with Patty Mills top-scoring for the Boomers with 15 points.
David Andersen (12 points), Joe Ingles and David Barlow (11 points) also scored in the double figures.
The result follows the Boomers' 75-69 to Spain a day earlier.
Boomers coach Brett Brown was encouraged by the latest effort, which saw his troops trail by just four points with six minutes remaining.
"There were a lot of positives we got out of tonight's game and the series in general," Brown said.
"We realise we're not that far off it. The turnovers ended up hurting us more than anything.
"That's the area that's most important to our preparation and lead-up to London."
The Boomers have two more warm-up games next week against Brazil and France.
