A Brisbane judge has ordered the Gold Coast Blaze basketball club pay former coach Brendan Joyce more than $300,000 in damages for breaching his contract.
Joyce's contract with the Blaze was terminated in 2009.
He argued the club unlawfully sacked him two years into a four-year deal.
The Blaze say they are surprised by the decision and are seeking further advice from their lawyers.
